2. On December 8, 2018, the Ningbo Research Institute of Dalian University of Technology was officially unveiled. The Dalian University of Technology Global Alumni High-quality Development Summit Forum was held. 3. On January 10, 2019, Chen Bingrong, Deputy Mayor of Ningbo Municipal Government, and Song Yongchen, Vice President of Dalian University of Technology, signed a cooperation agreement to jointly build the Ningbo Research Institute of Dalian University of Technology (Location: Dalian).

4. On July 4, 2019, Ningbo Research Institute of Dalian University of Technology was officially registered as an independent legal entity.

5. On June 8, 2020, Dalian Science and Technology Development (Ningbo) Co., Ltd. was registered and established.

6. On September 18, 2020, Yao Shan, Member of the Standing Committee of the Party Committee and Vice President of Dalian University of Technology, and Xu Yanan, Deputy Mayor of Ningbo City, signed a framework agreement on jointly building a Sino-German cooperative university.

7. On December 5, 2020, the opening ceremony of the Ningbo Research Institute of Dalian University of Technology and the "Hundred Days and Hundred Fields" Dalian University of Technology Scientific and Technological Achievements Matchmaking Conference. Qiu Dongyao, deputy secretary of the Ningbo Municipal Party Committee and mayor, and Guo Dongming, president of Dalian University of Technology and academician of the Chinese Academy of Engineering, attended the opening ceremony.

8. On June 16, 2021, it was approved as a postdoctoral workstation in Zhejiang Province.

9. On July 14, 2021, President Guo Dongming held talks with Peng Jiaxue, member of the Standing Committee of the Zhejiang Provincial Party Committee and Secretary of the Ningbo Municipal Party Committee, on strengthening school-local cooperation and promoting the implementation of cooperative school-running projects.

10. On July 22, 2021, the Ningbo Branch of the State Key Laboratory of Fine Chemicals was established, and Chen Bingrong, Deputy Mayor of Ningbo, and Peng Xiaojun, Director of the State Key Laboratory of Fine Chemicals and Academician of the Chinese Academy of Sciences jointly unveiled the plaque.

11. On December 31, 2021, it was approved as a "Provincial New R&D Institution in Zhejiang Province".
