Relying on the high-performance research and polishing technical team established by the Key Laboratory of the Ministry of Precision and Special Processing of Dalian University of Technology, Professor Guo Jiang always adheres to the scientific research spirit of "seeking truth and innovation", carries out in-depth research work aiming at the major national needs and the main battlefield of the national economy, and has made original research achievements in the fields of optics and precision mold manufacturing.
Over the years, the team has laid a solid theoretical foundation and accumulated rich practical experience. It is a high-quality scientific research team with clear research direction, reasonable personnel structure, innovative spirit and practical progress, and has made positive contributions to the development of high-performance manufacturing related fields.

Professor Guo Jiang: National Overseas High level Talent Introduction Program - Youth Program. Doctor of the University of Tokyo, Japan, worked in the Japanese Institute of Physics and Chemistry (RIKEN) and the Singapore Science and Technology Bureau (A * STAR) before returning home. He is mainly engaged in the research on the development and application of new grinding and polishing processes for optical aspheric surfaces and micro structures. The research achievements were selected as the research highlights of 2018 A * STAR, and more than 40 academic papers were published on famous international journals in manufacturing, friction, optics and other fields as the first author/corresponding author, and more than 10 invention patents were obtained. Presided over the Youth Fund of the Japan Society for the Promotion of Academics (JSPS), the general programs of the National Natural Science Foundation of China, and the key scientific issues of revolutionary technology (project leader) of the national key research and development program. It has won more than 10 academic awards, including the revitalization award of the Japan Machine Tool Association, the outstanding research achievement award of the Chinese Students Association in Japan, and the best oral report award of the Japan Precision Engineering Society. He is now a senior member of the Chinese Society of Mechanical Engineering, a member of the American Society of Precision Engineering and the European Society of Precision Engineering and Nanotechnology. |

Team research achievements and application fields
The team has undertaken more than 10 national, provincial and ministerial projects. Professor Guo Jiang has won the Technology Promotion Award of the Japan Machine Tool Association, the Outstanding Research Achievement Award of the Student Union in Japan and the Heidehan Scholarship of the European Society for Precision Engineering and Nanotechnology. The research results have been widely applied in many Japanese and Singapore enterprises (such as Panasonic, Nikon, Inzign Pte Ltd, Delta Optics Technologies Pte Ltd, etc.).
